Share a recorded itinerary
Turn a Cathay-source record into an image with copyable text to send a travel buddy.
A snapshot from your search; availability may change — check with the airline before booking.
Search award seats on Cathay (Asia Miles) or British Airways (Avios) as usual. Compare saved dates, cabins, seats, miles (where shown) and connections side by side, including partner flights in your results.
Free to install and use. Some route subscriptions use credits (a 3-day fixed-date subscription currently costs 0 credits). Contributing and subscribing require email verification + approval.
No change to your habits. Three steps.
Search on Cathay (Asia Miles) or British Airways (Avios) as usual. FeiFinder organises the returned results; it never searches for you.
Compare saved dates, cabins and miles side by side. Check the airline for current availability.
After email verification + approval, subscribe to routes. Matching records trigger a scheduled digest: currently one daily window, not instant.
Search as usual; organise your saved results in the side panel.
The comparison describes doing the work yourself; it is not a statement about what any airline site does or does not offer. FeiFinder is an independent project, not affiliated with any airline. On supported redemption pages the extension adds only a floating button and recording indicators (a count, stars and a short label); it does not rewrite the airline’s flight data, search requests or responses. The button can be dragged up or down and may cover some page content; it hides when it detects an open side panel or a page pop-up.
| Aspect | By hand | With FeiFinder |
|---|---|---|
| Multiple days | Open each day and note it down | Recorded and retained flights for the dates you searched, side by side |
| Flight depth | Look up aircraft, seats and lounges flight by flight | Layover/technical-stop times and taxes or cash estimates, where available; Cathay-source records also offer aircraft, seat, real/faux business, lounge and possible codeshare references, where available |
| Enough miles? | Do the maths yourself | Reads your Asia Miles balance and flags enough/not per cabin × passengers (balance read locally, never uploaded) |
| Pick a date | Check holidays elsewhere | Built-in holiday calendar + leave planner, exportable as a shareable image |
| Seat alerts | Search again every so often | Subscribe a route; an email digest is scheduled for your chosen window (scheduled, not instant) |
| Coverage | Only dates you searched | The shared pool also has dates other approved users searched (coverage still limited, see below) |
Works right after install, no approval needed. This is what you see once you’ve searched.
Turn a Cathay-source record into an image with copyable text to send a travel buddy.
A snapshot from your search; availability may change — check with the airline before booking.
On Cathay-source records, check flight and airport reference details; some information may be unavailable.
On Cathay-source records, flight cards and their detail views provide aircraft, seat, lounge, connection/technical-stop, tax and possible codeshare information; some details may be unavailable. British Airways records show flights, times, connections and seats by cabin; after you select a cabin yourself in a one-way, adults-only search, FeiFinder can also record the displayed Avios and estimated cash amount per adult when the price can be reliably matched to a saved itinerary, for your private history only.
Reference info; seats are inferred from the airline’s aircraft type, and possible codeshares are for reference only, not a confirmed operating arrangement.
After Cathay login, compare miles per cabin × passengers against your last recorded balance.
The balance is read only on your device and never uploaded.
Compared against the last recorded balance; enough miles doesn’t guarantee availability or ticketing.

Holiday data is public holidays and leave suggestions, not a seat-availability calendar; a holiday doesn’t mean a seat is bookable that day or that you’ll avoid peak season. Holiday data: date-holidays contributors (CC BY-SA 3.0).
Records from approved contributors, plus team-supplied searches, are matched to subscribed routes. Coverage is currently limited.
Needs email verification + approval; some route subscriptions use credits. A digest is sent only when there are matching records.
Each route lists the date, cabin, seat count and, where available, miles.
Currently one daily delivery window; matching records are scheduled, not sent instantly. No digest does not mean no seats; check the airline’s latest results.
Straight with you: coverage is limited for now.
Shared records come from approved contributors; the pool currently also includes searches supplied by the team (automated searching is not a feature of the public extension). It may not have your route or dates, and there may not be a digest every day.
Contributing and subscribing need email verification and approval. Email is a scheduled digest, not an instant alert; the airline site’s latest result is authoritative, and no digest doesn’t mean no seats.
Some route subscriptions use credits. Credits are earned by approved accounts sharing eligible search results; they have no monetary value and cannot be purchased, sold, transferred or redeemed for cash. Spent credits are not refunded when you cancel.
Stays local: balance, chosen photo
Reads Cathay pages, British Airways’ redemption pages and (from 0.4.5) Qatar Airways’ award pages alongside your search; never searches for you. From 0.4.5, selected booking pages of other specified airlines only get the floating button; their flight results are not read. Connects to FeiFinder’s backend.
Raw responses are parsed locally. Tidied availability and search records are uploaded with a random installation ID. If you connect an email, it is linked to your installation ID.
Your Asia Miles balance, British Airways and Qatar Airways member details and chosen background photo are never uploaded.
Only eligible data from email-verified, approved contributors enters the pool. Alerts do not identify contributors.
<all_urls> or cookies permission is requested. The extension connects to FeiFinder’s backend services. For retention periods, deletion and service providers, see the Privacy Policy.
From our first Cathay search to more ways to use your miles.
FeiFinder is an independent project. It is not a partner of, or affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Cathay Pacific, British Airways, Qatar Airways or oneworld. Names and logos belong to their owners and are used for identification only.
Install from the Chrome Web Store (desktop Chrome). After installing, search as usual to review the flight results FeiFinder has recorded and retained. Contributing to the shared pool or subscribing to route alerts needs you to connect an email in the extension, verify it, and wait for approval.
If you updated from an older version, Chrome may disable FeiFinder until you approve the new site permissions, so the side panel and floating button seem to have disappeared. For convenience, 0.4.5 added Qatar Airways and the specified sites of 12 other oneworld airlines in one go (on those other sites FeiFinder currently only shows the floating button and does not read flight results). Easiest fix: open feifinder.com/install in Chrome again; the Web Store page shows a banner saying the item is disabled, with a button to enable it, or go to chrome://extensions, find FeiFinder and click Re-enable. Then reload the airline page; no reinstall needed.
Installing and using FeiFinder requires no payment. Credits are an internal FeiFinder usage counter required for some route subscriptions (based on length and flexible dates; a 3-day fixed-date subscription currently costs 0 credits). Credits are earned by approved accounts sharing eligible search results, with a daily limit. They have no monetary value and cannot be purchased, sold, transferred or redeemed for cash; spent credits are not refunded when you cancel. See the Terms of Service.
FeiFinder runs on Cathay Pacific’s Asia Miles award-search page and British Airways’ Avios award results pages; from version 0.4.5 it also supports Qatar Airways’ Avios award results (from 0.4.6: 1–9 adults plus children and infants, one way or return, each direction recorded separately; seats, Classic / Flexi and the Privilege Deal flag are recorded; Avios per adult is recorded for adults-only searches, but not when children or infants are included because Qatar shows only the party total; taxes not yet; teenage passengers, open-jaw and multi-city trips are not supported). Qatar route subscriptions and alerts are not currently available. From 0.4.5, selected booking pages of the other specified airlines can show the floating button without reading or uploading flight results, including some cash-booking pages that share the same engine. The seats you find there — the airline itself and partner-airline (e.g. Japan Airlines / JAL) award seats that appear in the search — are organised for comparison when they can be reliably read and successfully recorded, labelled with the site they came from. Airlines and flight numbers are recorded as the marketing airline listed in the results, which may differ from the operating carrier; possible codeshare information on Cathay-source records is for reference only. Before you select a cabin, British Airways’ results list shows no prices; after you pick a cabin yourself, FeiFinder can record the displayed Avios and estimated cash amount per adult when the price can be reliably matched to a saved itinerary (one-way, adults-only searches only); return searches record flights, seats and related search details, but no prices. The extension interface has English and Traditional Chinese. For other programmes, see the flight path above (expected timing, not a commitment). Independent project, not affiliated with any airline or alliance.
Coverage is still limited — the more people search, the more dates get records. After subscribing there may not be a digest every day, or a record for your route. Shared records come from approved contributors; the pool currently also includes searches supplied by the team. Automated searching is not a feature of the public extension.
It’s a scheduled digest, not instant. Currently you can choose one daily delivery window; a digest is scheduled only when matching records are available, and delivery may be delayed or fail. A seat may be gone before you read it; the airline site’s latest result is authoritative.
Cancel individual subscriptions under “My Subscriptions” in the extension. A valid digest link opens a confirmation page; confirming cancels all active route subscriptions for that email. The extension stays signed in, spent credits are not refunded, and digests already being processed or sent may still arrive.
Website-access permissions cover the Cathay domains and British Airways host listed in the manifest; from 0.4.5 they also cover Qatar Airways and 13 specified hosts for 12 other airlines (Alaska, Hawaiian, American, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Oman Air, Qantas, Royal Air Maroc, Royal Jordanian and SriLankan). Host permissions are not restricted by URL paths; content-script match patterns and runtime checks separately limit the implemented features. Cathay, British Airways and, from 0.4.5 while enabled, Qatar support award-search processing. On the other specified sites, the extension checks the URL and page layout to show a button that opens the side panel; it does not read or upload flight results. The button also appears on some cash-booking pages that share the same booking engine. No <all_urls> or cookies permission is requested. The extension connects to FeiFinder’s backend services. Raw data is parsed locally; parsed availability and related search-record fields, such as timestamps, passenger count, a random installation ID and, for Cathay, the search URL, are uploaded. Your Asia Miles balance and British Airways and Qatar Airways member details are not uploaded. See the Privacy Policy.

An independent tool that passively organises your searches. Review the results still retained.
